Downie Wenjack Legacy Schools

We are excited to join the Downie Wenjack Fund's Legacy School's program! The Legacy Schools program is a free national initiative to engage, empower and connect students and educators to further reconciliation through awareness, education and action. Mikisew First Nations School, Downsview, and Humberside are all registered!

The program helps to develop policy and program development for Legacy Schools and Secret Path week, to help ensure that the unique rights, interests and perspectives of Indigenous peoples are acknowledged, affirmed and implemented in schools and communities throughout Canada.
